Claudia Alarco Alarco

Director, Equity Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
Claudia is a Director at Cover where she is responsible for creating equity communications strategies to help clients build stronger, more meaningful ties with the Latinx and Hispanic communities.

She is an activist, thought leader and recently wrote her first book, The Changing Face of Power, where she chronicles the rise of new Latinx leaders in America.

Prior to joining Cover, Claudia held positions at the Human Rights Campaign and Thorn Run Partners, where she led the firm’s communications, stakeholder engagement, and coalition-building efforts. She also worked in the Office of U.S. Rep. Pete DeFazio of Oregon.

Claudia worked in the Obama White House in the Office of Presidential Personnel, where she identified and on-boarded diverse candidates to serve in non-traditional senior roles throughout the administration. She also worked at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she launched a program to create a career pipeline for students interested in clinical research.

A native of Peru, Claudia spent her early years living and being educated throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, where she became fluent in several languages.

Claudia is a graduate of Villanova University and received her European Politics Certification from the European School of Political and Social Sciences at l’Université Catholique de Lille in Northern France.
